The Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager, Contracts to join our Contracting and Procurement team. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Contracting and Procurement, the Manager, Contracts will play a critical role in managing, organizing, and tracking the progress of multiple contracts with various contractors across our renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in the energy sector, a strong background in contract management, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for supporting renewable energy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Management and Administration: Oversee the lifecycle of contracts, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing agreements with contractors, suppliers, and vendors in alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
- Progress Tracking and Reporting: Develop and maintain a comprehensive contract tracking system to monitor the status, milestones, deliverables, and deadlines of all active contracts. Provide regular updates and reports to the SVP of Contracting and Procurement and other stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between the company and contractors, ensuring clear communication, timely resolution of issues, and adherence to contract terms. Collaborate with project managers, legal teams, and finance departments to ensure seamless contract execution.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in contracts, such as delays, cost overruns, or non-compliance, and work proactively to mitigate them. Escalate critical issues to the SVP as needed.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all contracts comply with company standards, industry regulations, and renewable energy sector requirements. Maintain accurate and organized documentation for audits and future reference.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to contract management processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and transparency.
- Support Strategic Initiatives: Assist the SVP in strategic EPC planning, including vendor selection, contract renewals, and long-term contractor relationships to support the company’s growth in the renewable energy sector.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM)) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a related role, preferably in the renewable energy, construction, or energy sector.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of renewable energy project lifecycles, including solar, wind, or energy storage, and familiarity with common contractor agreements in the sector.

- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage relationships with contractors and internal teams.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail for identifying risks and ensuring compliance.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Legal Awareness: Basic understanding of contract law, terms, and conditions, with the ability to identify clauses that may require legal review.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the renewable energy industry or with large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations as they pertain to contractor agreements.
- Prior experience managing contracts for renewable energy projects.
