The Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Contract Manager to join our Engineering, Procurement and Contracting team. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Engineering, Procurement and Contracting. The Contract Manager will play a critical role in ensuring timely preparation, review, and management of all contract-related documentation; compliance with regulatory and project requirements, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The Contract Manager will drive efficient contract execution to support project delivery on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the energy sector, a strong background in contract management, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for supporting renewable energy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Execution Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end execution of EPC contracts, from initial discussions to contract signing.
- Document Management: Manage the creation, review, and distribution of all contract-related documents, including main body of EPC agreements as well as technical exhibits.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, procurement, legal, and project management teams, as well as external partners (e.g., contractors, vendors, subcontractors, and clients), to ensure seamless information flow and alignment.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure contracts comply with industry standards, local regulations, and company policies. Identify and mitigate risks related to contract performance and execution.
- Negotiation Support: Assist in negotiating contract terms and conditions to secure favorable outcomes for the organization while maintaining strong partner relationships.
- Performance Monitoring: Track contract milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior management and project teams.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement standardized processes for contract management to enhance efficiency and scalability across projects.
- Support Strategic Initiatives: Assist the SVP in strategic EPC planning, including vendor selection, contract renewals, and long-term contractor relationships to support the company’s growth in the renewable energy sector.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM)) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a related role, preferably in the renewable energy, construction, or energy sector.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of renewable energy project lifecycles, including solar, wind, or energy storage, and familiarity with common contractor agreements in the sector.

- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage relationships with contractors and internal teams.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail for identifying risks and ensuring compliance.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Legal Awareness: Basic understanding of contract law, terms, and conditions, with the ability to identify clauses that may require legal review.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the renewable energy industry or with large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations as they pertain to contractor agreements.
- Prior experience managing contracts for renewable energy projects.
