The Role
Treaty Oak is seeking a Senior Associate, FP&A. The role will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the business’s capital planning and forecasting, managing relevant systems, and preparing reports for management. The position reports to the Director, FP&A.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Analysis
- Lead and support the development of annual budgets, quarterly and monthly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Perform in-depth financial analyses to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Partner with finance and cross-functional teams to monitor and explain variances against project development budgets and forecasts, and drive process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Asset Management to assess financial performance of operating assets and integrate key findings into forecasts and management reporting.
- Partner with cost center owners to analyze SG&A spending, monitor variances, and support effective budget management.
Reporting
- Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly management reporting packages and dashboards for senior leadership, including financial performance analysis and key insights.
Systems & Tools
- Build, enhance, and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, scenario analysis, and process automation.
- Assist in the development and improvement of FP&A tools, processes, and systems to drive efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with accounting, treasury, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reporting.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA a plus.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related fields, preferably in renewable energy or Independent Power Producers (IPPs).
- Advanced Excel, Power Pivots and financial modeling skills, with working knowledge or exposure to Power BI or any other data Visualization tools.
- Experience with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, or similar), SQL, Excel VBA/ Macros and Relational Database is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
