Summary
Treaty Oak is seeking an Analyst, Investments, who will be a key team member and report to a Manager, Investments. This individual will be responsible for building and maintaining complex financial models, supporting project and corporate financing efforts, preparing materials for banks and investors, assisting in the preparation of materials for communication with Macquarie on investment decisions, and managing due diligence processes. The role requires a high degree of financial and technical rigor, attention to detail, and the ability to distill financial analysis into clear, actionable insights for both internal and external stakeholders.
For this high growth opportunity role, Treaty Oak is seeking a motivated, early-career professional with 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or similar, ideally with exposure to the power, renewables, or infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Development and upkeep of financial models for multiple projects to support senior management decision-making
- Development and upkeep of presentations providing overviews of the business, project-specific and portfolio-wide development status and economics, and financial matters for audiences consisting of boards, investors, and sponsors
- Create discrete analysis and supporting documentation to aid land acquisition, permitting, interconnection, project design and engineering, power marketing, and financing activities
- Prepare marketing materials (e.g. teasers and CIMs) for internal and external stakeholders / financing processes
- Support the Development, Engineering, and Procurement departments on early-stage evaluation of potential financing structures and key project characteristics (e.g. DC:AC ratios, equipment selection, and tax abatements)
- Communicate and build relationships effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders
- Other related project and process support as required by the investments team, senior management, or internal subject matter experts
Education and Qualifications
- BS / MS in Finance, Economics, or other similarly quantitative course of study
- 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or similar
- Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills, with experience in financial modelling, and knowledge of best practices
- Knowledge of renewable energy (solar and storage) project economic drivers and related tax incentives
- Comfort working in a demanding, deal-oriented team with recurring deadlines
- Experience creating marketing materials, including teasers and CIMs, and managing external-facing data rooms
- Outstanding critical thinking skills, inquisitiveness, and resourcefulness / ability to work independently
- Ability to dynamically prioritize various tasks and meet assigned deadlines in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Driven and hard-working individual with a sense of ownership over their own work product
